About the role
We are hiring a Calypso Platform Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to maintain high availability and operational stability for critical financial pipelines. You will own L3 escalation support, real-time performance monitoring, and handling heavy EOD/intraday batch processing and scheduled reporting tasks. The role requires hands-on performance tuning of Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, diagnosing infrastructure bottlenecks under heavy market traffic, and automating deployments for zero-downtime upgrades across containerized components. You will also support archival settings and work with observability and incident-management tooling. This is a 6-month contract role (end of March 2027) with an expected start date of 1st Oct’26 (15th Oct’26). Remote work is supported, but candidates must visit the BKC or Thane Kotak office for onboarding verification and laptop collection.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Deep familiarity with Calypso architecture, APIs, and integration interfaces
- Advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise with demonstrated performance tuning experience
- UNIX/Linux administration and shell scripting proficiency
- Experience maintaining high-availability production systems and handling L3 escalations
- Proven experience managing heavy EOD and intraday batch processing, data feeds, and scheduled financial reporting
- Experience with CI/CD, automating deployment pipelines, and zero-downtime upgrade strategies
- Experience managing containerized infrastructure components (deployment and troubleshooting under load) (container tooling specifics not required beyond experience level provided in brief)
