PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SudoHire, maintained by SudoCodeLab, handles account, profile, employer, candidate, application, team-sharing, and service data. Privacy rights and duties apply according to the law and its effective timetable.

Effective: 14 August 2026

Information collected

SudoHire processes account identity, contact details, profile photos, company information, skills, experience, availability and work-model preferences, job content, applications, CVs, messages, team membership, access levels, sharing history, consent or acknowledgement records, and technical, security, and usage information needed to provide the service.

Sensitive and third-party information

Do not provide information that is unnecessary for a legitimate hiring or engagement purpose. In particular, do not upload a primary employer's confidential documents, credentials, trade secrets, customer data, health information, government identifiers, financial data, or information about another person unless you have authority and a valid legal basis.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate users, create profiles, show availability, publish opportunities, process applications, show prior application status, enable authorized team collaboration, record which candidates were shared with whom, provide requested AI assistance, communicate about the service, prevent abuse, enforce access controls, meet legal duties, and improve reliability.

Employers and workspace administrators

An employer or client that receives candidate information decides its hiring purposes, access, retention, and disclosures and may have independent privacy obligations. Workspace administrators control team membership and permissions. They must provide required notices, establish a lawful basis, limit access, respect candidate rights, and delete or retain information according to applicable law and their own disclosed policy.

Candidate sharing

Candidate data may be made available to authorized members of the relevant employer workspace and to team members selected through the sharing feature. SudoHire records the candidate, job or filter context, recipient, access level, and related activity so the employer can audit access. Recipients may use the data only for the authorized hiring purpose and may not forward or reuse it without authority.

Service providers and legal disclosures

SudoHire may use infrastructure, storage, authentication, email, analytics, security, support, and AI providers acting under appropriate arrangements. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or involved in a corporate transaction subject to applicable safeguards. SudoHire does not authorize unrelated sale of candidate profiles.

AI processing

Text submitted to an AI-assisted feature may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate the requested output. Employers and talent should remove unnecessary personal, sensitive, proprietary, or confidential information before submission. AI output remains subject to human review and the AI Content Policy.

Cross-border processing

Technology providers or users may process information from different locations. Where cross-border restrictions or transfer safeguards apply, the party controlling that transfer must satisfy them. A user must not share data into a country, organization, or workflow where doing so is prohibited.

Retention and deletion

SudoHire retains information for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service, preserve authorized hiring records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal duties. Retention may vary by data type and workspace instructions. Deletion requests may be limited where retention is legally required or needed to establish, exercise, or defend claims.

Security and incidents

SudoHire uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including access controls and recorded permissions. No system is completely secure. Users must protect credentials, promptly remove unnecessary team access, use candidate exports carefully, and notify support of suspected unauthorized access or disclosure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law and its commencement, a person may request access or a summary, correction, completion, updating, erasure, consent withdrawal, grievance handling, or nomination and may complain to the competent authority. Requests may be verified and sent through the published support or privacy contact. Withdrawing consent does not make prior lawful processing unlawful and may limit features that require the data.

Children

SudoHire is intended for people legally able to seek work, engage talent, or act for an employer. Do not create an account or submit a child's personal data unless the activity and processing are lawful and all required parental consent, age-verification, and employment protections are satisfied.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated for product, provider, or legal changes. The effective date will be revised and additional notice will be provided where required. Privacy questions, rights requests, and grievances may be sent to the privacy or support contact published by SudoHire.
