About the role
sudocodelab_new is seeking a Principal Enterprise Data Architect (contract) to define and drive enterprise-wide data architecture aligned with business goals. The role will lead enterprise-scale initiatives and be responsible for designing and governing Azure-based data platforms. You will architect and oversee implementations using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage, design conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and establish data governance standards, policies, and practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. The role includes leading development of ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Spark, collaborating with business, finance, and IT stakeholders, and mentoring engineering teams to adopt best practices. Location: India. Shift: Normal shift (IST). Employment type: Contract.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of professional experience in enterprise-scale data architecture.
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Proficiency in SQL and Spark for ETL/ELT pipeline development.
- Demonstrated experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications.
- Experience establishing and operating data governance: standards, policies, and practices for data quality, security, and compliance.
- Prior experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives as a Lead Architect or Enterprise Data Architect.
- Background in finance or investment domains with exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; experience mentoring engineering teams.
