Python/Django Backend Engineer — AI/ML APIs

About the role

sudocodelab_new is hiring a contract backend engineer to build and maintain Python and Django services that expose AI/ML functionality via APIs. You will implement API endpoints, integrate models into production flows, and collaborate with ML and product teams to deliver reliable, tested services. This role focuses on hands-on development of fst api endpoints, Django application code, and integration layers for AI/ML models. The contract is based in India; engineers should be able to work with distributed teams and produce production-ready backend components. Deliverables include well-tested API endpoints, clear integration points for ML models, and documentation for deployment and usage.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing backend services using Python and Django
• Experience building and maintaining fst api endpoints for production use
• Experience integrating AI/ML models or model outputs into APIs or backend services
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including authentication and error handling
• Writing automated tests (unit/integration) and maintaining API documentation
• Ability to work on a contract basis and be located in India
• Clear communication and collaboration with ML engineers and product stakeholders
