About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who loves solving complex problems, building scalable systems, and delivering products that impact millions of users. You will build and scale modern backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, design resilient microservice architectures, and own features end-to-end across architecture, implementation, deployment, and observability. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams and help improve engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship. The role uses Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB/NoSQL stores, event-driven distributed microservices, AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern API and observability tooling. You will troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems and contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and automation improvements.
Requirements
- 4+ years building production-grade backend systems
- Strong understanding of Node.js internals and performance optimization
- Experience designing and operating microservices and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud provider
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging/event systems
- Habit of writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code and practical testing strategies in production systems
