About the role
Terracore is hiring a senior, hands-on DevSecOps/platform engineer to own the technical architecture for GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps security posture and to lead delivery of a time‑bound audit remediation program. This is an individual‑contributor role with real architectural ownership: you will set the target architecture, make design calls, and be the technical voice in governance and security sign‑off conversations. You will design and oversee GitHub and Azure DevOps security configuration and governance (organization-level policy, branch protection rulesets, pipeline security, etc.), review and approve automation built by two automation engineers, and act as a technical escalation point for ambiguous or high‑risk items. You will partner directly with security/CISO stakeholders and the platform lead to align remediation with audit commitments and coordinate with a parallel platform team to keep workstreams consistent. The engagement is time‑sensitive following a reorganization with limited handover; you must onboard quickly, establish the target architecture, and drive a prioritized remediation program to completion.
Requirements
- 10+ years in platform/DevOps/DevSecOps engineering with genuine architecture-level ownership; 10–12+ years preferred (flexible for strong platform-specific depth).
- Deep, hands-on administration experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud at an organizational level (security configuration, policy enforcement, governance).
- Solid, demonstrable experience administering Azure DevOps at org/project level (branch policies, pipeline governance, org-level security settings).
- Strong Python skills for building and reviewing automation, monitoring scripts, policy-enforcement tooling, and reporting.
- Proven ability to translate security/compliance requirements into a defendable technical design and present/defend that design to security and audit stakeholders.
- Experience reviewing and approving automation produced by other engineers and acting as the technical escalation point for high-risk changes.
- Experience working on audit remediation or CAPA programs (preferred but beneficial to the role).
- Must be located in India; role is remote (Exceptional Approval taken).
